“Revival and Reformation” is indeed gaining consistent momentum in South Africa. The Arrival of Dr Ted Wilson, President of the world Seventh-day Adventist Church, into the country is sure to add to the impetus as he is scheduled to address a Revival and Reformation Rally in Johannesburg tomorrow morning.
Greeting the leadership and lay members who have gathered to welcome him at the airport, Dr Wilson said that the meeting is very important. Dr Tankiso Letseli, President of the Southern Africa Union Conference, speaking about the purpose of distributing the “Great Hope,” an abridged version of the book, “The Great Controversy” said: “we want to prepare a people to meet their God when Christ comes.”
The program of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is Revival and Reformation and Dr Wilson is expected to intentionally speak on the theme with emphasis on Revived by His Word, which is an initiative under the banner of Revival and Reformation. As part of the reception of the president, “Reality 7,” a male voices musical group singing African Gospel music, raised the spirit of those present with harmonious and uplifting music.
Seventh-day Adventists continue to affirm their commitment to continue the work of the Reformers in clinging to a faith rooted in the Bible and the Bible alone.
