Adventist youth build homes for destitute families in South Africa

July 1 – 5, 2013 – In a concerted effort by Adventist youth from all over the world, homes were built for needy families in Mamelodi, Mpumalanga and Soshanguve, among many other places in South Africa over a period of just five days.  As homes were handed over, tears of joy were shed by the grateful recipients for this unexpected display of love and kindness.  One mother exclaimed: “I thought God forgot about me but through these young people and what they have done for me, I know that God loves me and has not forgotten about me.”

The Adventist church remains committed to partner with governments and non-profit organizations to eradicate poverty and participate in social responsibility initiatives.
