Ndola, Zambia — The Northern Zambia Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has successfully completed its quinquennial business session, electing a new team of officers and departmental directors to lead the church’s mission initiatives through 2030.
Pastor Teddy Kaunda was elected to serve as President, bringing pastoral expertise and administrative vision to guide the Union’s strategic direction over the next five years. He will work alongside Pastor Chifumbe Kapenya, who was elected as Executive Secretary, and Pastor Isaac Kaputo, who will serve as Chief Financial Officer. This executive leadership team will coordinate the Union’s evangelistic and administrative priorities across Northern Zambia.
The session also saw the election of directors for various ministry departments. Muchabwe Mayboy will lead Stewardship initiatives, while Ernesto Ricci takes responsibility for Personal Ministries. Youth Ministries will be directed by Angel Chipulu, and Passmore Mulambo was elected to oversee Publishing operations.
Kambanzhi H. Shindo will serve as Ministerial Director, supporting pastoral development and ministerial training across the Union. Health Ministries will be led by Mwate Mwambazi, reflecting the church’s holistic approach to ministry. Sibanda Linda was elected to direct Women’s Ministries, empowering women’s involvement in church leadership and outreach.
The newly elected leadership faces the opportunity to advance the Northern Zambia Union’s mission during a pivotal period of church growth and community engagement. Their quinquennial mandate aligns with the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s global vision while addressing the unique needs and opportunities within their territory.
